Description: CX Superplast is a premixed ready to use cement based mortar for external as well as internal plaster, which ensures quality consistency. CX Superplast is a mixture of graded inert fillers, additives, binder.

Properties:
  • Composition: Ordinary Portland cement, selected sand, specific additives, binder
  • Grain size: 0 to 1.5 mm

Application:

  • Mixing: Take the precise quantity of water & pour into a mechanical mixer or can be loaded into plastering machine and slowly add the CX Superplast mortar into the mixer at a ratio of 0.15 W/P ratio and mix it thoroughly for the application
  • Application: Ensure substrate is cleaned, oil grease, paints, and traces of foreign material that may affect adhesion. Wet the surface thoroughly and apply CX Superplast to achieve uniform thickness and level surface. Mixed CX Superplast after adding water, should be used within 60 minutes
  • Curing: Water curing is recommended after 12 hours and to be continued for at least 7 days. Alternatively curing by CX Supercure WB curing compound is recommended.


Coverage: 40 kg. Bag of bag CX Superplast will cover 14 to16 ft 2 in 14 to 15 mm thickness the coverage depends upon the substrate.

Shelf Life: 9 months from the date of manufacture under standard storage conditions in a shaded and dry place.

CX Hardtop 330 special are quality controlled, factory blended powder which is ready to use on site. They contain special hardwearing aggregates which have been selected for abrasion and wear resistant properties as well as shape and size. These latter considerations, together with the use of high performance
workability admixtures produce a material which is easy to trowel into the surface of fresh, wet concrete.

CX Hardtop 330 special cures monolithically to provide a dense, non-porous surface which is extremely hardwearing and abrasion resistant. Monolithic cure ensures that problems normally associated with thin 'granolithic' screeds, viz. shrinkage, cracking, etc., are completely overcome. Being non-metallic, CX Hardtop 330 special provides a non-slip surface which will never rust and disintegrate.

Uses:
CX Hardtop 330 special provide a highly abrasion resistant surface to concrete floors by the dry shake-on method which ensures that the hard wearing surface bonds monolithically to the base concrete. They are ideally suited for all industrial areas subject to the heaviest traffic, e.g. loading bays, trucking lanes, car parks, workshops, machine shops, ramps and spillways.

Properties:

  • Abrasion resistance: CX Hardtop 330 special improves the abrasion resistance of concrete by 150%
  • Compressive strength: At water contents equivalent to those obtained in practical applications, the typical 28 days compressive strength of CX Hardtop 330 special cubes is 90 N/mm2
  • Hardness (Moh’s Scale): The selected aggregates contained within CX Hardtop 330 special have a hardness value of 7 on the Moh’s original scale

Specification clause:

  • Non metallic surface floor hardener: All concrete floors shall be surfaced or broadcast with CX Hardtop 330 special, a non-metallic monolithic surface floor hardening compounds containing rust free, hardwearing aggregates. The aggregates shall have a Moh's hardness of not less than 7
  • Compressive strength: CX Hardtop 330 special shall possess a minimum compressive strength of 90 N/mm2 when tested as per BS 1881, Part 116, 1983
  • Impact resistance: Very good

 

Application instructions

  • Base concrete: The base concrete should have a minimum cement content of 300 kg/m3. The concrete mix should be designed to minimize segregation and bleeding. Free water cement ratios of less than 0.55 are required. Use of Chembridge's water reducing admixture is recommended. The base concrete should be laid and compacted in accordance with good concrete practice. Accurate finished profile and minimum laitance build-up should be ensured. Particular attention should be paid to bay edges and corners to ensure full compaction. CX Hardtop 330 special is applied for different types of industrial use

        Description: CX Micro Concrete M01 is supplied as a ready to use the blend of dry powder, which requires only the site addition of clean water to produce free-flowing, non-shrink micro concrete.

        Chemax GP2 is supplied as a ready to use dry powder. The addition of a controlled amount of clean water produces a free-flowing, non-shrink grout for gap thicknesses up to 100mm. Chemax GP2 is a blend of Portland cement, graded fillers, and chemical additives which impart controlled expansion in the plastic state whilst minimizing water demand. The low water demand ensures high early strength. The graded fillers are designed to assist uniform mixing and produce a consistent grout.

        Usage
        Chemax GP2 is used for precision grouting where it is essential to withstand static and dynamic loads. Typical applications would be the grouting of base plates of turbines, compressors, boiler feed pumps etc. It can also be used for anchoring a wide range of fixings. These include masts, anchor bolts and fence posts.

        Application instructions
        Preparation

        • Foundation surface The substrate surface must be free from oil, grease or any loosely adherent material. If the concrete surface is defective or has laitance, it must be cut back to a sound base. Bolt holes and fixing pockets must be blown clean of any dirt or debris
        • Pre-soaking Several hours prior to placing, the concrete substrates should be saturated with fresh water. Immediately before grouting takes place any free water should be removed with particular care being taken to blow out all bolt holes and pockets
        • Base plate It is essential that this is clean and free from oil, grease or scale. Air pressure relief holes should be provided to allow venting of any isolated high spots
        • Leveling shims If these are to be removed after the grout has hardened, they should be treated with a thin layer of grease
        • Form-work The form-work should be constructed to be leak proof. This can be achieved by using foam rubber strip or mastic sealant beneath the constructed form-work and between joints. In some cases it is practical to use sacrificial
          semi-dry sand and cement form-work. The form-work should include outlets for pre-soaking
        • Unrestrained surface area This must be kept to a minimum. Generally the gap width between the perimeter form-work and the plate edge should not exceed 150mm on the pouring side and 50mm on the opposite side. It is advisable, where practical, to have no gap at the flank sides

         

        Mixing and placing

        • Mixing For best results a mechanically powered grout mixer should be used. When quantities up to 50kg are used, a heavy duty slow speed drill (400-500 rpm) fitted with a paddle is suitable. Larger quantities will require a heavy duty mixer. To enable the grouting operation to be carried out continuously, it is essential that sufficient mixing capacity and labor are available

        Chemax Grout A01, A plasticized expanding grout admixture is supplied as a powder. The material is a combination of a plasticizing agent and a gas producing expansion medium. The plasticizing agent allows the use of a reduced water/cement ratio with consequent increased strengths and durability. The expansive medium counteracts the natural settlement and plastic shrinkage of the grout and aids stability and cohesion.

        Uses:
        Chemax Grout A01 is an admixture for cementitious grouts where a reduced water/cement ratio and positive expansions are required. Applications include bed grouting, duct grouting, non-shrink infilling and jointing.

        Advantages:
        • Gaseous expansion system compensates for plastic shrinkage and settlement in properly designed cementitious grout
        • Reduced water/cement ratio mixes in the grout mix ensures low permeability and long term durability in service
        • Gives grout high fluidity with low water/cement ratio, thus making placement or injection of the grout easy
        • No metallic iron content to corrode and cause staining or deterioration due to rust expansion in the grout
        • Composition allows high early strength development in grouts, without the use of chlorides

         

        Properties:

        • Chloride content: Nil
        • Compressive Strength: The plasticizing action of Chemax Grout A01 allows reduction of the water cement ratios of cementitious grouts whilst maintaining flow properties. This gives improvement in strength and long term durability when cured under restraint
        • Setting Times: Chemax Grout A01 does not significantly alter the setting times of cement based grouts
        • Expansion Characteristics: The controlled positive expansion in unset grouts incorporating Chemax Grout A01 grout admixture overcomes plastic settlement when measured. An unrestrained expansion of up to 4% is typical.
        • Time for expansion: 15 min. - 2 hours. Temperatures above 20 0 C may slightly reduce these times
        • Compatibility: Chemax A01 is compatible with all types of Portland cement. Chemax Grout A01 may be used in mixes containing certain other Chemax admixtures. Chemax shall be contacted for further information

         

        Specification clauses:

        • Performance specification: All grouting (specify details and areas of application) must be carried out with a cement based grout incorporating a plasticized, expanding powder admixture. The grout admixture must be iron-free and chloride-free and shall be added to the cement grout in the proportion of 225g per 50kg of cement. The grout admixture shall provide an expansion of up to 4% in the plastic grout, by means of a gaseous system. The grout admixture must be stored, handled and mixed strictly in accordance with the
          manufacturer's instructions
        • Supplier specification: All grouting (specify details and areas of application) must be carried out using a cement based grout, incorporating Chemax Grout A01 manufactured by Chemax and applied strictly in accordance with the manufacturer's technical data sheet

         

        Application instructions:

        • Mixing: For best results a mechanically powered grout mixer must be used. For quantities up to 50kg aslow speed drill fitted with a high shear paddle is suitable. Larger quantities will require a high volume drum mixer. It is essential that machine mixing capacity and labor availability is adequate to enable the grouting operation to be carried out continuously. This may require the use of a holding tank with provision for gentle agitation to maintain fluidity. The selected water content should be accurately measured into the mixer. The cement (and sand if required) shall be slowly added to Chem Grout 100.

            CX Supercure WB is a white, low viscosity wax emulsion which incorporates a special alkali reactive emulsion breaking system. This system ensures that the emulsion breaks down to form a non-penetrating continuous film immediately upon contact with a cementitious surface. This impervious film prevents excessive water evaporation which in turn permits more efficient cement hydration, thus reducing shrinkage and increasing durability. Once formed, the membrane will remain on the concrete
            surface until eventually broken down and eroded by natural weathering. Where it is required to apply a further treatment to such concrete surface, it may be necessary to remove the membrane remaining after curing by wire brushing or other Mechanical means. The use of curing membranes on internal floor slabs is generally to be avoided where additional surface finishes are to be applied. CX Supercure WB is however ideal where the concrete surface of a floor slabs is to be left as 'finished'.

            Uses

            For spraying on freshly cast concrete, or newly exposed concrete surfaces after removal of form work, to form a temporary membrane which will retain sufficient moisture for effective curing to take place. Used for concreting generally but especially useful for large areas of concrete such as pavements, runways and bridge decks, also for vertical or sloping surfaces as on towers, chimneys, canal linings, columns and beams, where water curing is difficult or unreliable.

            • Application
            • Exposed concrete slabs Cx Supercure WB should be spray applied on to the newly placed concrete slab as soon as possible after it is free from visible surface water, e.g. typically 1 to 2 hours after placing
            • Shuttered and precast concrete CX Supercure WB curing agent should be spray applied to all surfaces as soon as form-work has been removed or the element demolded. In all cases the nozzle of the spray should be held approximately 450mm from the concrete surface and should be passed back and forth to ensure complete and even coverage. The pump pressure should be maintained at a level to produce a fine spray ensuring complete coverage of the surface. Rate of application depends on requirements but is typically within the range of 200 to 285 ml/m2
            • Equipment cleaning Immediately after use the spray equipment should be cleaned out thoroughly withfresh water. If the spray nozzle becomes blocked with wax particles these can easily be removed using white spirit or similar fluid

              Description: Chemax Super Cleaning Agent is a combination of organic-based material, corrosion inhibitors and dispersing agents and is supplied as a clear yellow solution.

              Application instructions:
              • Cleaning brickwork: A small trial area should be cleaned first to determine the most suitable Chemax Super Clean cleaning agent dilution. Pre-wet the brickwork, then using a sponge, rub the affected areas with a solution of Chemax Super Clean cleaning agent and water. The strength of the solution required will vary but should be between 1:1 and 1:4 (by volume of Chemax Super Clean cleaning agent to water). When the action has finished, wash down thoroughly with clean water. Cleaning large items of equipment: E.g. Ready-mix trucks, concrete mixers, barrows, etc. Chemax Super Clean cleaning agent should be liberally applied to the deposits by a soft broom and allowed to soak overnight if possible. If the surfaces of the deposit can be cracked by mechanical means this will speed up the operation in severe cases more than one application may be necessary. On completion, dissolved deposits and loose material should be wire brushed and washed away with clean water
              • Cleaning small tools: Use Chemax Super Clean as a dip. The tools should be soaked overnight, then taken out and washed with clean water to remove all loosely adhering materials. Care should be taken to avoid prolonged contact between Chemax Super Clean and zinc or aluminum parts of tools, e.g. rivets, etc.
              • Cleaning concrete floors: Pre-wet the floors, then using a stiff bristle broom, brush the affected areas with a solution of Chemax Super Clean and water. The strength of the solution required will vary but should be between 1:1 and 1:4 (Chemax Super Clean cleaning agent to water). When the action has finished, wash down thoroughly with clean water
              • Removal of rust and mill scale: Pre-wet the floors, then using a stiff bristle broom, brush the affected areas with a solution of Chemax Super Clean and water. Strength of the solution required will vary but should be between 1:1 and 1:4 (Chemax Super Clean water). When the action has finished, wash down thoroughly with clean water. Wire brush again to remove remaining loose material and finish by thoroughly washing down with clean water. Repeat if necessary. High degree of rust or scale can be removed by soaking in the Chemax Super Clean solution for 60 minutes
              • Etching concrete floors: For etching surfaces to remove Laitance and give a mechanical key before applying resin or another coating, Chemax Super Clean cleaning agent should be diluted with water and applied at the rate of approximately 1 liter/2 M 2. The dilution will depend upon the condition of the floors and the degree of etching required, but normally it will be between 1:2 and 1:4. When the action has finished, wash down thoroughly with clean water

              CX Joint Sealant PU is elastic, single component, self-leveling, moisture curing polyurethane sealant specifically developed to be used as a multi-purpose floor joint sealant in applications where high chemical resistance to fuels, oils and hydrocarbons is required. The product is suitable for sealing expansion, construction and dummy joints in rigid pavements, apron areas, runways, taxi tracks, parking bays, hangars and internal and external pedestrian and trafficked joints. Concrete roads, petrol stations, warehouses, showrooms etc are other application areas.

              Surface preparation:
              Joint surfaces must be dry, clean and free of all contamination. Glass, metal and other non-porous surfaces must be free of any coatings and wiped clean with solvent. Precast panels using form-release agents other than polyethylene film must be sandblasted or mechanically abraded and dust free.

               

              Priming:

              CX Joint Sealant PU has excellent adhesion properties even without the use of primer on most common building materials. However, natural stone, paints, coatings and other treatments of surfaces may presents a difficult surface to which to adhere. Due to the number of unpredictable natures of these substrates, a preliminary test is recommended. PU Primer may be required for porous surfaces.

               

              Application:
              Recommended application temperatures: 5° - 35°C. For easier use or cold weather application we recommend the material is stored at approximately 25°C prior to use. In order to guarantee free movement of sealant in joints, it is imperative that the sealant does not adhere to the bottom of the joint, therefore joint backer rod should be used at the proper depth. Apply appropriate primer to joint sides and observe waiting time to avoid any air bubbles which may arise from the solvent heating under un-cured sealant. Firmly extrude sealant into the joint making sure that it is in full contact with the sides of the joint and with the backing rod at the bottom. Keep the nozzle in the sealant, continue on with a steady flow of sealant preceding the nozzle to avoid air entrapment. Avoid overlapping of sealant to eliminate entrapment of air.

                CX Joint Sealant PS is a two-component, Polysulphide Sealant which when cured forms a flexible rubber seal. It is a tough durable product, developed as an expansion joint sealant in floors. It has a high resistance to fuels, oils, and hydrocarbons. The product is for sealing expansion joints in external and internal applications. Uses include structural floor joints, construction floor joints, working areas of airports, hangars, road joints, and internal and external pedestrian and trafficked joints.

Due to the number of unpredictable natures of these substrates, a preliminary test is recommended. It is recommended to seek advice for primer requirements for specific applications.

                In order to guarantee free movement of sealant in joints, it is imperative that the sealant does not adhere to the bottom of the joint, therefore joint backer rod or bond breaker tape should be used at the proper depth. Mix the base and the curing agent.CX Joint Sealant PS can be poured directly from the can in to the joint or can be poured in to a barrel applicator and extruded into the joint from the applicator. Pour or firmly extrude sealant into
                the joint making sure that it is in full contact with the sides of the joint and with the backing rod at the bottom.

                Light tooling is recommended to ensure no air is trapped in the sealant. For trafficked joints a recessed joint is
                recommended.

                 

                Health and Safety:
                The curing agent of CX Joint Sealant PS contains manganese dioxide. Ensure that protective gloves, overalls and protective footwear are worn at all times when handling the material. Avoid skin contact.
